Caitlin Clark may have just sealed the WNBA Rookie of the Year race with her electrifying performance on Friday night. Clark exploded for 31 points and dished out 12 assists, leading the Indiana Fever to a commanding 100-81 victory over the Chicago Sky.
In contrast, Angel Reese struggled, managing just 10 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. Clark’s impressive numbers were even more remarkable considering she sat out the final four minutes of the game.
Her night ended after she hit a free throw following a flagrant one foul by Diamond DeShields, who sent Clark crashing to the floor with a rough hip check.

As Clark exited the game, she called on the crowd to make noise, with both broadcast announcers mentioning they have seen ‘many’ of her jerseys in Chicago.
Reese did complete her 23rd double-double of the season, passing Tina Charles for the most by a rookie in WNBA history.
